I am a recent graduate of St. Lawrence University and a current graduate student at George Washington University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics-Economics and Psychology, with a minor in Statistics. I am currently seeking my Master in Forensic Psychology. In high school I mentored middle school students in science and in college I tutored elementary school students in math and reading. I enjoy tutoring math the most because learning math concepts doesn't involve memorization like many other subjects, but rather application. When students memorize material they might not hold onto that knowledge, but teaching them a valuable skill (multiplication, division, etc.) that they can use throughout their life is very rewarding to me. My teaching style is very student oriented. I have found, especially working with elementary school students, that the same teaching methods do not work for every student and they must be tailored to their individual needs. Most importantly, I do my best to make learning a fun and enjoyable experience that is rewarding to the student. When I am not focusing on my school work I enjoy dancing and am trying to pursue a career in law enforcement.
